Ibrahimovic refuses: Swede does without Nations League

The 40-year-old does not participate in the upcoming games. "He has had injury problems for a while and didn't play so much with Milan, so he refused to play," said national coach Janne Andersson on Wednesday. Sweden meets Slovenia, Norway and Serbia in the Nations League.

Ibrahimovic had given his comeback in the Swedish national team in March 2021 after a five -year break. Despite the failure in the qualification for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, he emphasized that he wanted to be available "as long as possible".

The day Ibrahimovic and Sweden turned an impossible result around

In 121 international matches for Sweden, Ibrahimovic has so far made 62 goals - a World Cup goal will be denied in his dazzling career. "Ibra" took part in the final rounds in 2002 in Japan and South Korea and in 2006 in Germany without meeting themselves.

For that, he is with Milan a game day before the end of the season before winning the championship. Defending champion Inter Milan goes with two points behind the final showdown.
