Diablo Immortal: Focus on mobile, PC port with defects

Diablo Imortal appears on June 2, 2022 and the Blizzard developers use the time until the release to grind the mobile version, The PC port for the simultaneous beta and of course also to make it clear to to stir the advertising drum. For example, Game Director Wyatt Cheng recently took the time to answer questions from the Community about Diablo Immortal in the discord channel of the Immortal Reddits (via Wowhead).

Diablo Immortal: Recap of Q&A with Wyatt Cheng

The topics of Q&A revolved around class replenishment, regions, PC port, API, Legendarys and character places, among other things. Here are the most important findings from the question and answer session.

  • Solo players will reach limits here and there in Diablo Immortal, but thanks to the beta feedback, there are now significantly more content that is suitable for solo players.
  • Work is still being carried out on the mouse and keyboard control. The PC version of Immortal will be in a beta phase for the release. So expect bugs and things that don't run optimally.
  • The interface of the PC version will be based on that of the mobile version. For example, you also have to scroll on the PC in tooltips to read the entire text. There is also no scaling from the user interface.

  • The focus remains at Mobile as the main platform for Immortal. The PC port is just an attempt to offer a better alternative to any emulations. Under no circumstances do you want to postpone so many developer resources from Mobile to PC that the quality of the mobile experience suffers (because, for example, content patches are delayed).

  • Wyatt Cheng likes Diablo Immortal (buy now) the most how well it is on mobile devices. He is certain that some PC enthusiasts will eventually dare to attempt a mobile and be pleasantly surprised.
  • The topic of mods, community tools and API interfaces only comes onto the table when the launch has been brought across the stage.

  • It could be that Blizzard divides the Immortal community back into regions (NA EAST, NA West, Europe). A final decision has not yet been made here.

  • You can create up to five characters on each server. There should be nothing more at first, not even via Ingame shop.
  • There will be a cooldown for the class change (longer than 24 hours). When you change, you take almost everything with you. You cannot take your legendary progress with you because they are classified.

Dynamo Dresden collects last minute

Dynamo Dresden has not yet completely averted the direct descent from the 2nd Bundesliga. The Saxons had to be satisfied with a 1-1 (0: 0) in the home game against Jahn Regensburg on Saturday, but with 31 points there are hardly any more relegation rank 16. Christoph Daferner (73.) scored 1-0 for the hosts, Andreas Albers (88th), the equalization was achieved. Erzgebirge Aue can still pass Dynamo with three wins. FC Ingolstadt is determined as a relegation. However, the distance from Dynamo to SV Sandhausen in position 15 is seven points, so that Dresden must adjust to the relegation duel against the third of the 3rd division.
