My teacher, Darth Plagueis, tried to forge that bond with me, says Palpatine in the book. Although he was wise in the roads of force, he proved to be unworthy of the task.

I also tried to facilitate such a connection with my anakin skywalker apprentice. However, even with the so-called chosen by my side, the balance shared threw back the perfection of the diada, added the Master Sith .

As it is insinuated in the Star Wars novel the ascent of Skywalker , so that the diadro of force is effective must be created by the will of force, requiring the presence of the bright side and the dark side.

According to the book, the connection between King and Kylo Ren had been refined in the fire of mutual search, shared pain, rabies and hatred, but also of compassion and empathy.
